Kung fu prodigy Li Fong is kicked out of his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City. When a friend needs his help, Li signs up for a karate competition. Li's teacher Mr. Han enlists the help of the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso. On November 21, 2023, Sony released a video starring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, announcing that both are returning for a new film, as well as global casting for the new Karate Kid title.
